Daniil Trifonov as Artist in Residence at Rheingau Musik Festival; performing at Kissinger Sommer

This July, Daniil Trifonov performs in Ingelheim, Wiesbaden, and Geisenheim as Artist in Residence at Germany’s Rheingau Musik Festival. He also performs at Kissinger Sommer in Bad Kissingen.

On July 4, Daniil performs with soprano Christiane Karg, violinist Renaud Capuçon, and cellist Clemens Hagen for an evening of chamber music in Ingelheim. The evening hears works by Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and Beach.

Daniil appears at Kissinger Sommer on July 7, where he performs Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and conductor Paavo Järvi. (On July 12, he revisits this piece with the orchestra and Järvi in Wiesbaden.)

Two days later, Daniil returns to the Rheingau Musik Festival, where he brings his “thrilling” (The New York Times) recital repertoire of Beethoven, Schumann, and Prokofiev (July 9). He also collaborates with cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan to perform Arvo Pärt’s Fratres, Shostakovich’s Cello Sonata in D minor, and Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata in G minor (July 10).
