For the 2023/24 season, Daniil will perform a solo program of Rameau’s Suite in A minor, Mozart’s Twelfth Piano Sonata, Mendelssohn’s Variations sérieuses, and Beethoven’s “Hammerklavier” Sonata. North American dates include Boston (Nov 15), Santa Barbara (Nov 17), San Francisco (Nov 19), New York (Dec 12), Dallas (March 18), Houston (March 22) and St. Paul (March 24). From November 29–January 31, Daniil brings the program to concert halls across Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain.
A dedicated chamber musician, Trifonov rounds out his 2023/24 programming with sonatas for cello and piano by Debussy, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov, performed with eminent cellist Gautier Capuçon on a high-profile, seven-city European tour (Feb 5–12). Like Daniil, the cellist is a regular summer resident at Switzerland’s Verbier Festival, and is one of the artists featured on the pianist’s 2022 Deutsche Grammophon release, Daniil Trifonov: Chamber Music.
