Throughout July Trifonov tours South America with a program including works by Rameau, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff, stopping in São Paulo (July 2), Montevideo (July 4), Santiago (July 6), and Rio de Janeiro (July 16). He then returns to Aspen Music Festival for a recital with violinist Leonidas Kavakos (August 17), before bringing the same program with Kavakos to Tanglewood on August 21. Trifonov finishes the summer at the Salzburg Festival playing a solo recital (August 28), followed by a program of Beethoven and Berlioz with the Vienna Philharmonic led by Yannick Nézet-Séguin (August 29).
