This summer, Daniil returns to New York’s Caramoor (June 27), Switzerland’s Verbier Festival (July 23), and Austria’s Salzburg Festival (July 31) for solo recitals of Chopin waltzes and two pieces by Tchaikovsky: the C-sharp minor Sonata and Concert Suite from The Sleeping Beauty, in Mikhail Pletnev’s arrangement. He completes his program with Barber’s sole Piano Sonata at Caramoor and Verbier, and with Ginastera’s Second Piano Sonata in Salzburg.

Also at Verbier, on July 22, Daniil joins his former teacher and frequent piano partner, Sergei Babayan, for a performance of Bartók’s Concerto for two Pianos and Percussion with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra led by Klaus Mäkelä.

And on July 5, Daniil reunites with Andris Nelsons for a performance of Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood.
