On November 13, Diapason magazine presented their 2024 Diapason D’or awards at a gala evening in Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Daniil Trifonov and Sergei Babayan took home an award for their Deutsche Grammophon recording “Rachmaninoff for Two.” Released in March 2024, the album includes the composer’s two Suites for two pianos and the two-piano version of his Symphonic Dances, together with Trifonov’s own transcription of the Adagio from Symphony No. 2.
