Daniil will be artist-in-residence with both the Czech Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra during the 2024/25 season.
Together with chief conductor Semyon Bychkov, Daniil opens the Czech Philharmonic’s season with performances of Dvořák’s Piano Concerto in Prague (Sep 25, 26) and Bratislava (Sep 27). He reunites with them for performances of the same concerto at New York’s Carnegie Hall (Dec 5) and Toronto’s Royal Conservatory (Dec 7) . Trifonov also gives a solo recital in Prague (Sep 29) as part of the residency.
Daniil’s residency with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra begins with a recital at Symphony Center (Nov 17). He returns in the spring for a recital with violinist Leonidas Kavakos (Mar 9). For his only orchestral concerts as part of the residency, he gives four performances of Brahms’s Second Piano Concerto under the baton of Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkelä (May 1–4).
