This winter, Daniil Trifonov embarks on a busy 2021 season with concerts in Spain, France, Germany, and across Europe. Daniil begins in Spain, where he joins the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España for three concerts featuring Beethoven’s first piano concerto on February 19-21. On February 21, Baltimore’s Shriver Hall streams Daniil in recital, remaining available for viewing until February 28.
March begins in Switzerland, where Daniil joins the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and James Gaffigan for two performances of the first piano concerto of Brahms on March 3 and 4, before traveling to Vienna to perform Stravinsky’s Concerto for Piano and Wind Orchestra with Valery Gergiev at the Musikverein Wein on March 6. Daniil then pairs up with Gautier Capuçon for three recitals featuring the cello sonatas of Debussy, Prokofiev, and Rachmaninoff at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on March 15, MünchenMusik GmbH on March 17, and the Musikverein Wein on March 19. Daniil continues with solo recitals in Paris on March 21, Barcelona on March 23, Madrid on March 24, and Toulouse on March 26, before concluding with a performance with Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra at the Philharmonie de Paris on March 30.
